(Electronics) I bought this charger because for some reason the dell regular charger that came with the laptop kept dying and would say "connected but not charging". This external charger does work. However it does take longer to fully charge a battery~ 30-40% longer. It takes a little while to figure out how to connect the battery to the charger but once you get it works.(The instructions could be better) When my charger came the power supply to this external charger was defective and i called the company and they send me a new one within a few days(that was very good). I have had it for more than 6 months and it still works; so i am very satisfied.
When a battery is not connected the light is green.When charging there is a light that stays red and after charging the light turns green. Overall i would recommend this to someone who is looking for an external charger.

(Electronics) I have a Dell 1525, and my battery said plugged in not charging. After buying a brand new battery from Dell ($176) the new battery said the same thing, I did some research and heard that other people had the same issue. I called Dell, I was transferred 4 times, the last guy on the line got connected and didn't know I could hear him, said I was lying that I wasn't transferred 4 times(he got scared when I said "excuse me?") He tried to help, made me do really stupid things for 1 hr, only to tell me it was the mother board, and that's what I said in the beginning! Also tried to tell me that my original battery was no good, and that he was going to do me a favour and help me out. He then said he would send me a box, and I can put my laptop in and they will fix the motherboard for me, HA! For $300!! ? Really? I can buy a brand new laptop for a lot less, I declined of course.
